we had a wonderful christmas with the grissom family this year. we had a lot of snow, a lot of singing, and a lot of laughs! we also had a steady stream of visitors stop by for the party that is our house (thanks jonny p for singing some garth for us-and wes for throwin in some merle:)) and a bday party for jesus. my husband called me a dork for this-but i think it's a sweet memory for my stella.
if you know me well, you probably know that i sometimes get restless and want to move out of this house. or out of this area. get a smaller place. a town home with no yard work or a house near the church. just make a change. but then i think about how many people visit here on a regular basis and feel welcome. this is the first home we have ever owned and i am so glad that we have enough dear friends and family to keep hotel grissom hoppin'. if you know us-you know that you are always welcome here. heck-you probably already know our garage code and most of our neighbors:)
after a great holiday, stella and i loaded up and headed to grand rapids with brandon and his band. this was a fun trip because all the wives and kids were able to join the guys for this conference. it was a lot of fun and stella and i really enjoyed the beautiful hotel, food, and swimming pool! stella got pretty good at helping the guys sell cd's. check it...
i have kind of taken a break from the adoption paperwork for the week. most of the people at the agency are out for the holiday anyway. i'm trying to do a step or 2 at a time and not freak out. it is really a lot of work! i can't wait until we have our beautiful ethiopian daughter home with us. that is the light at the end of the tunnel. on a side note, i am putting in A LOT of time thinking about baby names. whatever we choose has to work with her birth name but i want something special to go with it. got any ideas? i recently heard the name november in a jon foreman song and loved it. i need to get brandon on board with it...

I like it!
Is the month November significant to your family? It is easy to spell and pronounce (2 of my golden rules for naming!) I think Scarlett would be cute, too. I can't wait to find out all the details about your growing family!
What is her birth name Beki?
