1. brandon took part in the funeral of a friend.
2. brandon officiated a wedding on the same day.
3. brandon left the wedding early and went to the e.r. for the 2nd time that week.
4. brandon spent the night in the hospital.
5. i stayed with him-arranged childcare-packed-got meds-etc. thank you to the palmer family for watching stella all night! we love you very much!!!
6. brandon came home and vomited everywhere.
7. i cleaned it up.
8. brandon has layed around unable to do much all week.
9. i have cleaned up lots of yucky stuff, worked when i can, taken care of stella, etc.
10. oh-it's also been brandons bday, and fathers day. stella got him grand theft auto (the new one) for dads day. and a card in spanish that i think said happy fathers day papa(she picked it because it had a picture of a fish on it and she really likes fish) and a rose. which she played with and beat down pretty bad before we actually got it to him. but it was really cute anyway.
this weekend brandon returned to work and he and wes announced some big news at elevate. at the end of the summer, both will be transitioning off of the elevate staff. brandon will be moving to the axis ministry at wccc and wes will be returning home to finish school and spend some quality time with his family. brandon and i have been in prayer about making a change for over a year and we both feel a lot of peace and excitement about this. axis is an amazing ministry within our church that is designed for people in their 20's. they are doing some really exciting stuff in their communities and i can't wait to be a part of it! more to come on this.....
but, and this is a BIG but, i am going to miss wes so much. brandon has already had a breakdown and cried like a little girl! sorry babe, you did:) i fully support his decision and i know that he is doing the right thing, but he is a part of our family and for the last 4 years we have all been inseperable. what is stella going to do without her uncle weezy!!?!?! she adores him. calls out to him from across the church, stares at him all the time, and giggles alot when he is near. we will have to visit as much as possible! and pray that we are able to live close to one another again soon. it may happen--you never know:)
it is an exciting time but it is also one that is filled with sadness. you know how change is.
