our good friend scott rubin reminded us that 5 years ago today we rolled into town. i had just graduated from college a few days before we left okc and brandon was scared to death to begin his new job at willow.
now- there are 3 grissoms instead of 2, i've finally found a job that i'm passionate about, and brandon has been blessed with a group of musicians and friends around him that he adores. oh-we've also been blessed with some additional okies joining us here in the chicago-land area. 3 more moved into town this week! it's pretty special.
it has been a tough 5 years for me but it has also been 5 that i will never forget. i feel like my world, and my compassion for people, has expanded. i have grown used to the weather here--kind of:) and i love our community. stella is a lucky little girl. the first few years that we were here, i honestly didn't think i would make it.
i still miss home occasionally but after 5 long years, i am content here. i am thankful.

I (with a tear) remember when you rolled out of Wes, Terry, and Bartlow's condo that morning...I also remember coming to visit you a month later and not thinking you would make it either (of course I didn't let you know I thought that :-) God is SO great! I love you! I miss you! ~ NADS
Fun Memories! I remember I think you two came right off the plane and went to Ravinia with us... The Springers brought you, and introduced you to everyone... I for one, and very glad to have the Grissoms in Illinois :)
