old nuggets

a gross thing happened today.  let me tell you about it....

i rushed out of work to pick up stella at willow (of course i was running late) so i quickly got her settled in the car and hit the road.   i was driving, and returning emails, when it hit me that stella was being more quiet than usual.  i looked back and could tell that she was eating something.  so what did i do?  i stuck my fingers in her mouth and pulled it out to see what it was (moms do this crap all the time and don't even think about it :) )  wanna know what it was? it was......an old chicken nugget. 

 it was definitely more than 3 days old.  could have been older than that because i can't remember the last time she ate them in the car.  gross!!!!  i then grabbed what i could and tried to throw it out the car window BUT i didn't roll the window down first!  so, little chunks of it got all over my car!  what?!?!  i then pull over and dig out baby wipes so i can clean everything up.  including her mouth.  it was gross but i'm sure she'll be ok.

anyway, i drove the rest of the way home thinking about how different my life is now.  i feel like a real "mom".  i like it.  it's beautiful, messy, tiring and fun.
