update.

i am scheduled to get my wisdom teeth out on friday morning. i have been dreading this so much but last night as i was trying to get stella back to sleep for the 3rd time, i started to look forward to this.......because my husband is going to be home and i am going to SLEEP ALL DAY! maybe the next day too. i know it's crazy to look forward to having minor surgery so that you can sleep but motherhood is hard people! judge me if you must:)

it has been a while since i posted. so i thought i'd give you an update on each of us:
beloved stella-is cuter than ever and is getting pretty good at using the big girl potty. any time we are home, she is wearing big girl undies. she is very confident and sassy these days. i love that about her, but i have to say that it's been a little tiring lately. lots of time-outs happening in the grissom house:) she'll be 2 1/2 next month and according to steph, this is when it gets tough. 3 is the new 2?!?!
brandon-was busy leading worship at the willow creek childrens conference last week but was blessed to end that busy week with a visit from the vannort family. he was pretty excited to have lunch with his friends at texas de brazil! i am a salad bar kind of person so i don't think i got the full experience. although the joy on their faces was hard to ignore:)
me-just tired. you know what-stella is napping right now and i think i should be too! i never take a nap so this explains how tired i am.

adoption update: we are doing paperwork, paperwork, and more paperwork. waiting for the state of illinois to complete our background checks and we can move on to the next level of our homestudy. i finally got my passport last week and completed some more docs for our dossier. when we get stressed about it-we like to think of baby names! still nothing solid. our list is very long these days!
